Verification badges describe completed checks.

Each badge is independent. A business can have one, several, or no badges. Badges do not rank businesses, are never awarded because a package was purchased, and do not guarantee future work.

NZBN record checked

A matching NZBN record and its reported status were retrieved from the official register.

Business identity checked

The legal entity, trading name, and supporting business record were reviewed.

Management authority checked

The profile manager's ownership or authority to represent the business was reviewed.

Relevant certification checked

A named licence, registration, membership, or qualification was reviewed, including its issuer and expiry where applicable.

Insurance evidence reviewed

Evidence naming the insured entity, policy type, and expiry date was reviewed. This is not a guarantee of cover.

Location checked

A registered address, business premises, or service-area claim was reviewed and the basis of the check recorded.

Project evidence checked

Project photos, references, or job records were reviewed.

Job-confirmed review

The reviewer and a completed job were matched before the review was counted as job-confirmed.

Badge controls

Each completed check records a type, evidence source, reviewer, checked date, and renewal date where relevant. Expired or rejected checks are not shown as current. Businesses can dispute a check or provide updated evidence through the contact page.

Plans and placement

A paid plan may provide tools or clearly labelled sponsored placement. It cannot create, extend, or improve a verification result. Ordinary directory results remain independently sorted.
